Join us on Friday 25 September from 17:00 to midnight for Science Night, with this year's theme of Communication. Science is the language through which the world around us speaks. Come and discover how people, machines and materials communicate, and what language the universe uses to speak to us.

From 16:00, the first edition of VUTeráni, a gathering of classic vehicles, will take place outside building A1. One of the rarest exhibits will be a 1924 Disk car from Zbrojovka Brno, the first passenger car manufactured in Brno. Also on display will be a Tatra 600 Tatraplán, a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in the style of K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, a Tatra 54/30 and many other historic vehicles.

Enjoy lectures for the general public, the Centre of the World science show, robots, flight and racing simulators, autonomous driving, interactive experiments and demonstrations by student teams. Meet cadets from the ZERO-G weightlessness flight mission, build your own reactor or have a robotic bartender prepare some ice cream for you.

And do not forget to take the lift to the 19th floor of building A1 and enjoy a unique view of Brno.

Explore the world of modern technology and get hands-on experience with plenty of exhibits. If all that discovery makes you hungry, stop for refreshments at our STROJOVNA café, or visit the Strojobchod shop to take home a small souvenir of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
